Internet Explorer 8 beta features

Like most internet users (well not technically) I onced used Internet Explorer but have moved on to greener pastures. Well Internet Explorer has recently come out with the beta for IE 8, and it really seems to be catching up to the other browsers. Now I've seen a lot of software come out with "new" features to set them apart from the older version and become useless but IE 8 has some good ones.

  • Smart Adress Bar-  Drops down as you type and suggests websites based on ones you've visited, your favorites, feeds, and history. Firefox has this feature and it really does come in handy when doing your day to day routine.
  • Tab Grouping- One of my favorite features that let's you compile a colored group for the different kids of tabs you open for each site you visit.
  • InPrivate Browsing- Similiar to Chrome's "Icognito Mode" that let's you visit any sites you wish while keeping anything off your history...you know when you feel like visiting those sites you saw on a late night tv ad...

  • Crash Tab Revival- Let's you revive crashed windows on a tab-by-tab basis, this feature can be great when using a new web browser. Since a lot of pages won't recognize new features they might have problems and crash, well now you can try and bring them back up without much of a hassle.
These are the really useful things that IE has needed for a long time, it's also added some other features that the useablilty may vary depending on the person. Check out this link to read more about it.
